MODERN DECO BUNGALOW

Our clients sought a redesign that would honour the charming bungalow heritage of their home while infusing it with a modern Art Deco flair. They desired a space that was glamorous, warm, and inviting, perfect for a family setting. The design needed to respect the home's existing character features, including stained glass windows and decorative ceilings, while introducing new elements that would elevate its style.

The result is a family home that effortlessly combines comfort with sophistication, achieved through layered textures and clean, textured lines. Central to the design is the much-loved record player, prominently featured in the dining room's custom joinery, making records easily accessible and blending form with function.

Rich textures and shapes inspired by the home's foundation and Art Deco influences bring warmth and cosiness. The use of timber, stone, leather, and velvet adds texture and richness to the palette. Matte black tapware and brass handles introduce depth and accentuate the elevated atmosphere. Feature lighting was used to complement the Art Deco theme and existing eclectic style, with abstract brass pendants and glass wall lights providing illumination. Custom joinery details, such as architraves, reeded battens, glass, and classic shaker cabinetry profiles, reflect a geometric interior scheme and enhance the overall thematic cohesion.

This project showcases our ability to blend traditional charm with contemporary luxury, creating a space that is both timeless and uniquely personal to the owners.
