Owners Sally Paterson and Renee Hawkins share a long-standing passion for creating beautiful homes, with a background that encompasses designing and managing new builds and renovations, commercial design as well as interior and editorial styling.

In 2018 they combined forces to create Heliconia Interiors and Design, which is now a team of nine designers, stylists, project managers and procurement specialists working on a range of projects.

Industry experience, qualifications, networks... we have all these. But it's our eye, our intuition and our insight that mean the difference between curating something lovely and something life-enriching.

We are true collaborators, partnering with architects and draftsmen, trades and builders to bring the optimal solution for our clients to life.

A long-time design devotee, Sally loves nothing more than bringing a client’s style and personality to life in their home through creativity, problem-solving and passion.

When she’s not specifying a house full of furniture for a client or project managing a major renovation or build with the team, Sally is busy enjoying the simple things in life – long lunches, time with loved ones… and building her own family home.

RENEE HAWKINS
Director

After executing several renovations and builds of her own, Renee has a special knack for helping our clients right at the start to determine the best approach for their project and to feel confident about their renovation, building or styling journey.

While her penchant for exquisite design and exceptional service is serious business, Renee loves to laugh and always manages to inject lightness and love into every conversation.
